Bericht Minarelli p6/rv6 or rv4
Hi i have seen a kit for a minarelli p6, it's watercooled and is a single ring piston.
Does anyone know if this kit will fit onto my rv6 or rv4 engine/ will the stud holes line up to my studs? Also the kit is called eurocilindro 80cc and one can be seen on arf33.com and is fitted to the malaguti fifty.
Thanks for the help.

It will fit because rv6 and p6 have the same mounting studs. Do you have access to this cilinder? Wat cilinder do you have mounted at the moment?

@vets_tom; is the strike (slag) also the same? or does he need a different crankshaft (krukas)?

its the same. the main difference is the pump. I think the cranks are even the same. THere are no different crankshafts for the rv6 p6 or the rv4. Yet i would just go with a polini 74cc and mabye bore it to 50mm.

I don't have access to the cylinder but i was wondering whether to buy it or not as at the moment i have a polini 70cc 47mm aluminium cylinder like they sell on opvoeren.nl.
Also if you look at this listing number 370106668891 on ebay.fr you will be able to see the cylinder.
If you could let me know if this is better than my polini at the moment it would be a great help.
Thanks.

I have seen race crankshafts for the minarelli p6 engine made by mazzucchelli and are ok to rev to 18000rpm.

these racing cranks are expensive i bet. And you didnt want a high reving engine setup. If its a real 80cc, 49mm diameter, you should get it as long as it aint piston ported. The best is a reed valve cilinder, and you might want to tune it. And get a yasuni exaughst. If you have any other questions feel free to ask. :thumright:

Well it's not a reed valve but i think it's a 48mm which is about 75cc, it is a single ring and has slight ports in the piston. i don't mind a high reving setup as more revs means more speed but also want some low end power(to pull away and keep moving when going slow, and not have the throttle fully open all the time).
Also the race cranks are a lot of money, and the p6 never had reed valves and they went quick but some had the carbs on the side of the crank cases.
Did you check the link out to see what it looks like. ALso a site called arf33.com have a page with the same cylinder etc and some close up pictures of it.
Thanks for the reply.

this is a direct link to the cilinder. http://www.arf33.com/scheda_motore.htm
I Have got no clue how good that cilinder is. But i bet you its expensive. You dont you just get the polini 74cc, it has plenty of power. If you gear it right you will have loads of excelaration. I would suggest not going for a high top speed 100kmph is enough, because there is almost no place to go that fast.

Thanks for your help. Well i have a polini 70cc 47mm kit at the moment, it's the same as the one they sell on opvoeren.nl, but mine is black, i just thought that the other kit would be more powerful as they are surposed to have 15hp(pk) standard and 27 if tuned i think. I may just get another piston for my polini along with hpi2006 and a light coil, do you think the hpi will let my bike run better and have a better top speed and acceleration? because i am getting 11,250rpm with my polini 19mm carb(82 jet) and doppler er1 exhaust, this reads 115kmph on the speedo (so about 105/110)real speed) with 13/40 gearing.
Thanks.
