Aprilia af1 schreef: Hi thanks that sort of makes sense. But do you know if the rv6 engine is quicker than the am6 or the am6 quicker than the rv6, also would the am6 6 speed gears fit into the rv6 casings. as minarelli must have kept some part of the design the same.
Thanks again for the help and info.
in fact, the 2 engines or completely different, so nothing can be exchanged, except for the oil pump and the carbs.
i think the rv is faster, but I'll be able to confirm that next week or so ![wink ;)](./images/smilies/wink2.gif)

Hi thanks for your help and everything, if you could post on this link or subject when you have checked both engines etc that would be great as then i will know you have replied. Finally do you know what the top speed should or would be with a cast iron 70cc polini, 19mm dellorto carb, better cdi and everything else standard apart from a 13 tooth front sprocket, by the way i have an aprilia af1 sintesi, with single sided swing arm. With this set up and 3 speed i can only get 90/95 km/hon the speedo which i'm not sure is accurate at 10,000rpm and wont go anymore, should it go faster than this?

think you'd win 16 km/h (10mph), but therefore I would need to compare the final gearing from the rv6 with the one from the rv3
btw:
you could post some pics of your bike here

with the same setup you'll gain 10mph
and you'll have to make a new thread ![wink ;)](./images/smilies/wink2.gif)

Thanks, sorry to keep bothering you with questions but i don't know anyone who has xperience with rv engine, but are all am6 bearings and seals the same as the rv engines as i can't get hold of any rv bearings for the crank or gears.

indeed, but sometimes it's hard to read them, but if you just mesure them, they will be able to help you at any bearing supplier (I would go to SKF), if you really can't get hold on them, I'll see what I can do for you

H thanks i will take a look at skf, my brother got some bearings for his derbi gpr50 youichi ui replica from them and they're good.
So you think i can get bearings for the whole of the rv6 then? as i need to rebuild it fully.
Also you don't know any sites where i can get a new crank and (or) 80cc from do you?but the only problem will be the main bearings on the bottom of the conrod may get wrecked from the extra power/ compressionthe 80cc will produce?
Thanks for your help because i can't really get any parts for the rv6 over here in the UK

if you'd buy an MK or barikit conrod for am6 you can use it without extra mods for your rv crank
the main bairing is included in the set and'll easily hold a 80cc
and at skf they'll be able to order all the bairings you'll need ![wink ;)](./images/smilies/wink2.gif)

I can't seem to find any barikit or metrakit conrods, do you know of any sites over where you are that do cheap strong conrods for use with an 80cc or 70cc, also could you tell me some sites that sell fast proper 70cc or 80cc cylinder kits for the rv engines. and any quick high reving exhausts for the am6 engine to fit my af1 as they can be modified to fit so i've heard. Thanks again for the help.
