Hi i don't know if i am posting in the right part of the forum but i'll try anyway. I just wanted to know if anyone knows of any good performance parts for the aprilia af1 rv6 or rv4 engines, if you know of any fast cylinders, carbs, exhausts, front or rear sprockets it would be a great help, because people i know have rs50's, rieju rs1's and derbi gpr50's and i can't keep up with them, also i was looking for a speed of around 80mph or faster with parts an gearing. All help is appreciated. Thanks. |

if you look at the picture you can see six sides on the cilinder... for rv4 engines, some have 4, some have 6 sided cilinders. if you want to know how fast your moped will run with let's say 12.000 rpm in last gear there is a special topic that shows that. http://www.apriliaforum.nl/viewtopic.php?t=2362 if you want your moped to run fast but still consume less fuel, you should go for an 19 or 21 mm... if the amount of fuel doesn't matter, i suggest you go for an 24 or an 28 mm carb. a good exhaust for 70cc's is a yasuni HMR/2 I think that if you take this set, your moped will run around 110 to 140 km/h. that depends on the size of your sprockets and how well it's been adjusted. |

Hi thanks for the information, on the picture i can't see 6 sides unless you mean the top, bottom and four sides, also the polini i would be getting would be a round cylinder for the rv4 and rv6 engines and is cast iron, but if you know of anyone selling one of the polini 6 sided cylinder kits quite cheap please let me know, finally just wondered if you know anything about derbi gpr50's 2003 earlier shape models, E.G speed with 15 tooth front sprocket, 52 rear, polini 80cc cast iron,19mm carb, and an arrow exhaust. 12000rpm, don't worry if you don't know anything, just wanted to see what the speed difference would be compared to the setup i suggested for the af1. |

well, i drive an af1 myself too, (the replica '88) with an am6 engine, i've got a 14 tooth front sprocket and a 38 tooth rear sprocket. this gives me the speed of around 130/135 km/h. if that's the same with an rv4 engine or a derbi, i dont know. what i do know is that the derbi is much lighter because the frame is made of aluminium ( true? ) and the af1 has a steel frame. (the cilinder has flattened corners that i saw as "sides" ) we use that term to know witch shape we're talking about ![]() the link is a bit large, but it works on my pc ... this is the same cilinder i'm talking about. http://motor-brommer.marktplaats.nl/ond ... to_image=1 |

Thanks for the info it has helped a lot. Well ithink the am6 engine is a little faster than my rv6 as thomasrs50 on the forum worked out that the am6 revs 62 or 63 rpm more than the rv6 on the front sprocket at 10,000rpm. the link did work and it's the same kit which is under the for sale section on the forum? What set up do you have to perform 130/135km/h? i know you have the am6 but it will be a rough guide for my rv6, also i have the same aprilia af1 as you, sintesi but mine is a 92 replica, one of the last af1's i think? |

I've got on my am6 engine a Gilardroni 74cc's cilnder with a 24mm OKO carb (D-Slide) provided with a Hebo Power filter. the exhaust's brand i don't know but the inner diameter of the pipe that goes into the cilnder is 32 mm. you mean the AF1 Futura ![]() this site gives you information on all aprilia's from moped to motorbike like manuels and exploded views. www.aprilia-parts.nl good luck ![]() |
